Stories that warm your heart. I thought I’d share it with you on this very hot Tuesday in July.

My once 6-year-old son, who is now 14, was experiencing stomach pains for quite sometime. I took him for a check up and everything was fine. It started bothering him again when we went to our hometown for Christmas. After big meals and lots of Xmas treats, he was literally crying from the pain. Upon returning home, I decided to take him to emergency to ensure that all was well.

After several hours of waiting we were led through the waiting room door to a bedroom.  The doctor on duty (who spoke broken English) asked him a series of questions including:

– When did you poop last?
– How long has your tummy been hurting?
– Does it hurt when I press here?

The last question he asked to my son was “Do you get gas?”

My son replied in a weak voice “No, I stay in the car and my dad gets it.”

He will never live this story down….
