I don’t know if many people know this but I love my blog for personal reasons.  However, I’m on Twitter for professional reasons.  I need to understand the psyche of the Social Media fanatic to help businesses.

I have met several tweeps on a social level and the consensus is; If you don’t belong in your region, you have to fight your way or kiss ass to have a voice.

So let’s just say that my idea, that may or may not come into fruition, is dependent on the number of responses provided to me.  Also, let it be known, that my idea may be part and parcel of a few ideas floating around the “Outsiders” world.

My idea has been developed based on a montage of reasons:

  1. I hate it when people feel alone online and at tweet ups
  2. I hate it when cliques are formed online and off.
  3. I hate it when a social media outlet becomes a place where bullying is acceptable.
  4. I don’t want to see our children faced with the same predicament.  It’s time to change it now or watch the consequences of not taking action.

This idea can be for business, however, it can be launched as a personal self growth experience.  It can also be intermingled to create personal financial gain by incorporating the two.  It also can create a business, between two like minded individuals, while seeking personal growth.  It can be all encompassing.

There are a lot of people on Social Media.  Few of them reach the popularity, that they well deserve, to receive a lofty amount of responses per tweet or blog post.  The majority who receive a large amount of responses generally belongs to a regional clique.

Let it be known that I don’t want those part of a clique!  I want those who really want to connect but are faced with either kissing butt to get a response or who are getting minimal responses.

I really want those people who, when they walk into a tweetup,  despite being a wall flower, need the assistance of other people to make them feel at home.  However, no one is there for you as they are busy appeasing the clique.

Oh, I know what it’s like as I went to a few tweetup’s and conferences. People know my face but no one approached me. Personally, I really don’t care about my popularity with the insiders.

Another type of social media participant I want to talk to is the one that has been bullied online for making a suggestion or requoting a comment made online.  Someone who has been bullied in one form or another.  You know who you are because I’ve probably talked to you!  I have heard of too many people in this situation and hopefully, I will be here to assist you in meeting the right people who wouldn’t dream of doing that to you.

I want you to be part of my idea because at the end of the day, it’s always the positive that brings down the negative and I can’t do this alone.  I can’t guarantee monetary gain, but hey, us blogger’s don’t REALLY make that much money anyway, if at all.

No one should ever have to deal with the negative experiences online.  We can’t change the future generation until we change our own.

As always, every form of communication is private and confidential.  I will not be posting your views online.  Email me at [email protected] with your experiences and online concerns.
