YOW!  Prince totally rocked my world, during his Welcome 2 Canada Concert, at the John Labatt Centre in London Ontario.   In fact, he still has me swooning over his sweet smile and brilliant performance which included all of my favorite hit songs.

He started his performance with the smile that I swooned over at 16, a wave, and the song All the Glitters.  It was a magnificent performance with gold glitter and rays of yellow lighting.  Furthermore, he wasted no time bringing out his hit songs Purple Rain and Little Red Corvette.

What did I love about Prince besides his mischievous smile that makes me weak in the knees at 39?  Well, the fact that he praised every one of his performers during the show proves that gratitude still exists in the music industry.  He was as charitable on stage to his performers as he was to us in the crowd.

Makes me want him more…oppss…did I say that?

Prince finished the show after two encores which included Raspberry Beret and Take Me With You.  I’m still trying to decide which concert I loved the most, Gaga or Prince. They were both so different, but both fabulous with energy galore!

As well, despite snapping a few “I can’t hold myself back photos”, I think the no camera option was the right decision.  I know that I was disappointed to learn that Lady Gaga was putting her concert on HBO after spending hundreds of dollars are tickets in Toronto.  A concert is a memory…a wonderful thing to reflect on and smile about.

The John Labatt Centre hosted a fabulous event and by the looks of it, they are proud of their accomplishments.   I had a fantastic night and will go back again in a heartbeat.

I did have one disappointment and I will write about this in my next blog post!
