The most wonderful thing about being a blogger is learning about charitable organizations, including those that help unprivileged children in locations around the World.
Speroway, formally known as “Feed the Children – Canada”, is an international non-profit relief organization that responds to the needs of children and their families, in Canada and around the world, by providing food, medicine, education and other essentials with Christian love, compassion and integrity.
What’s new at Speroway?
As we all are aware, branding is a difficult venture for any non-profit organization. Being an organization that spends much of their resources on assisting the needs of children around the World, Speroway is no different.
Speroway is proud to share their new and improved website and their launch into the social media world through bloggers like myself. A new Facebook page has been developed where Speroway will be sharing their daily efforts, heart wrenching stories, and organization progress. I invite you to please “like” them today!
A Medical Clinic For Haiti
At this time, they are working on an array of projects. One that especially touches my heart is the construction of a medical center in Haiti. Haiti has always had its struggles but in 2010, the residents of Haiti were faced with the unimaginable. On January 12th, 2010, an earthquake of catastrophic magnitude devoured their country affecting over 3,000,000 people.
Speroway is partnering with an organization that is responsible for a feeding program that serves 30 orphanages and approximately 1,400 children. It was during one of those visits to an orphanage that they found the perfect land to construct a new medical clinic.
In April 2012, the began working on the building plans and they are now weeks away from being ready to break ground.
