On Halloween 2011, Jessica Simpson announced her pregnancy by posting a picture of herself dressed as a Mummy, “It’s true – I’m going to be a mummy,” she wrote.
Today she announced, on her website, that she is the proud mummy to a daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson. Maxwell, who weighed in at 9 lbs. 13 oz. and is 21¾ inches long, is healthy and happy with her mother and father, former NFL player, Eric Johnson.
Maxwell is the first child for Simpson, 31, and Johnson, 32, who had a quick courtship before getting engaged six months later.
It has also been reported that Ashlee Simpson, Jessica’s Sister, and her 3-year-old son, Bronx are already in love with Maxwell.
“He records songs on my sister’s iPhone about the things he wants to do with the baby, like swim in the ocean and go to the playground,” Jessica said. “The first one just made me cry. We’re making a CD of them – it was the best gift of all.”
