Well as you may know, exams are starting next week which is very terrifying.  I constantly remind myself that summer starts when you finish your final exam!!

Two months just to relax and stress over nothing usually!

OH BUT WAIT. You don’t just have exam studying to do, you also have SUMMATIVE writing to do!!!

So what I wanted to talk to all of you about is about my summative! What is it about you may ask? Well I have to write a 5 minute eulogy about a deceased celebrity. I find this extremely morbid to do for the simple fact that it’s extremely close summer and the last thing I want to be thinking about is dead people!

I am doing my eulogy on the great Dr.Theodor Seuss Geisel! I am suffering massive writer’s block. We have to research information about said celebrity and put it in our eulogy.

I wrote my first draft and showed it to the teacher. He told me I can’t make up things such as him and I walking through a park and talking about our wonderful friendship. Why not?  It’s a Eulogy?  Can’t I be creative?

I have to put all of the research I found into a eulogy. I think it’s completely stupid!!   Why don’t we simply do an actual presentation on the person? Wouldn’t that make more sense?

I find it tiring to re-write something after putting in a lot of work and effort into the eulogy I just wrote. Anyways, I am furious and decided to ask what do you the readers think of this assignment/summative? I think it’s horrible!

Do you have any history facts on Dr. Seuss?  Anything?
