First Alec Baldwin, now Charlie Sheen. Is Twitter doomed?

In one week, both Alec Baldwin and Charlie Sheen have announced that they are closing their Twitter account for good.

Sheen posted at 6:00 AM PT saying, “reach for the stars everyone. dogspeed cadre. c out.” TMZ confirmed his Twitter salut by contacting him and was told “Thank you all for your amazing support. Trust me when I say please ‘follow’ me to my next endeavor. It’s gonna be epic.”

There was a time where celebs were clamoring to get their verified profile on Twitter to have the ability to interact with their fans. Is Twitter becoming the thing of the past for celebrities?

So who’s next? With Ashton Kutcher follow suit? Demi? The Biebs?
