Yes, America is now Idol…or is it idle with the departure of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler?
Lopez shared her American Idol experience with Ryan Seacrest today on his KIIS-FM morning show. She stated that the judging experience was “such a lovely surprise in my life. I’ve never felt so much a part of a family of something I’ve been working on as I did with Idol. I didn’t know I’d be moved so emotionally by working on the show and working with the contestants.”
J. Lo’s reason for leaving? She wanted to do other things that she loves. That and more time with Casper and his rock hard abs.

Steven Tyler leaving like a rag doll
Lopez’ news comes on the cusp of Steven Tyler’s announcement Thursday that we was leaving the show to return his first love , Aerosmith (right on!!) .
“After some long … hard … thoughts … I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit,” the rocker said in a statement Thursday. “I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back – but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band.”
So now with Jennifer and Steven’s announcements, will Randy Jackson be next? We’ll have to wait and see.
