The 2013 Oscar nominees have been announced.
2013 Academy Awards host Seth McFarlane and Emma Stone announced the Oscar nominees for 2013 this morning. Lincoln led the race with 12 nods while Life of Pi was a close second with 10 nominations, including best movie and best director. Ben Affleck’s Argo, despite huge ratings at the box office, failed to get nominations in most of the major categories.
Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, of Silver Linings Playbook, may witness a huge career shift in 2013 if they take home the title of Best Actor and Actress. With some stiff competition, the Golden Globes set for this weekend will provide movie lovers a sense whether this fantastic duo stands a chance for an Oscar. My thoughts is that Jennifer Lawrence will take the Oscar home while Bradley Cooper has some pretty stiff competition with Daniel Day Lewis of Lincoln.
