Lady Gaga Sparks Controversy Again With Her Gun Bra
Lady Gaga sparked controversy when she walked on stage wearing a gun bra at her Vancouver ‘Born this Way’ Ball this week. Many activists are calling this disgraceful in wake of the Sandy Hook murders last month. Unbeknownst to some, Gaga is part of the Demand a Plan gun control campaign.
This is not the first time Lady Gaga sported the gun brassière. She has incorporated the bra on stage for many years and wore a gun bra on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 2010.
Known to speak out when causing a stir, I think Lady Gaga’s silence speaks volumes. Anyone who understands Gaga’s performance realizes that it is all about self acceptance and her props used throughout the show symbolizes freedom of judgement and self-expression. Knowing this, I sympathize with both sides of the debate.
