The Time Keeper is about a man who is recognized as Father Time called Dor. He was banned to a cave for thousands of years where he can do nothing but listen to the cries of endless voice They cry for only one thing and that is time. Time to wait, time to go, time for this and time for that……. Their desire to control time is endless.
At first I wasn’t thrilled with the writing but wondered where this story was going. Once I start a book I have to finish it.
Father Time is finally given his freedom but with conditions. He has to redeem himself by teaching two people the meaning of time. He returns to the modern day world and realizes how many people are dependent on time. He starts his journey with a young teenager who has a desire to end her time on earth and with an old man who wants to live forever. To save himself, he first has to save them.
The story gets interesting and I enjoyed the back and forth discussions with Father time and his two partners. It makes you think about how precious is our time really is and how wisely we should spend it.
The Time Keeper,written by Mitch Albom was a good read.
