Country music legend Kenny Rogers performed to a full house on November 28th, at the Centre in the Square located in Kitchener, Ontario.  It was a brilliant performance with Rogers taking the time to interact and joke with the crowd. One long-time fan even earned a bit of cash when he received $10 American for every Roger’s medley that he recognized.  He was reluctant to accept this offering, but in the end, Rogers insisted.

Kenny Rogers Christmas and Hits Through the Years

Rogers included a medley of sentimental ballads, “Through the Years,” “You Decorated My Life” and “She Believes in Me,”.  While the jubilant song “Ruby” and “Lucille” coaxed the singer to jokingly reprimand the crowd for its lackluster participation.  Rogers concluded the first half of his performance with “The Gambler” and “Coward of the Country” then exited the stage in preparation for the Christmas set.

The Christmas performance included special guest Linda Davis along with some of Kitchener Waterloo’s local youth talent.  These kids really knew their stuff and what an honour for them!

Fifty Years of creating music and Kenny Rogers, albeit older and much slower, still gets the crowd clapping and swaying to the music (which he admonished a few times throughout the night).  Fantastic performance!
