avril and womens health

Women’s College Hospital Foundation has teamed up with Canadian singing sensation, Avril Lavigne to create a cover song of “Keep Holding On’ featuring the voices of Canadians across the country. The remixed song has been released on iTunes, and the proceeds from every download go toward supporting Women’s College Hospital and the future of healthcare for women.

Avril Lavigne and Womens College HospitalWhat is the Women’s College Hospital Foundation?

Women’s College Hospital Foundation is dedicated to supporting Women’s College Hospital as it revolutionizes health care for women. The first stand alone ambulatory care hospital in Canada, Women’s College Hospital is dedicated to advancing the health of women and improving health-care options for all.

Did you know…. that the Women’s College Hospital was the first hospital in Ontario to use mammography as a cancer diagnostic tool?

A woman’s work is never done

As we age, women maintain the same busy schedule we always have.  Whether it’s a new found job or a new hobby, we tend to neglect our health more often than not while thinking we are still in our roaring Twenties.

When I turned 40, my body changed where my visits to the doctor became more frequent than ever.  I have come to realize that our healthcare system isn’t as great as I assumed.  I’m comforted to know that the Women’s College Hospital Foundation is looking after women by supporting advancements regarding the health of women.

Support this great cause with a great Canadian icon!

Life’s a Blog and the Women’s College Hospital Foundation asks you to support the hospital and future women’s health advancements by downloading Avril Lavigne’s song ‘Keep Holding On’ available on iTunes.
