Good Kill Starring Ethan Hawke, Zoë Kravitz and January Jones
Remstar Films is pleased to announce the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will present the premiere of Good Kill directed by Andrew Niccol. Starring Ethan Hawke, Zoë Kravitz and January Jones, the film marks a new collaboration between Niccol and Hawke following Gattaca and Lord of War.
Distributed in Canada by Remstar Films, Good Kill is produced by Academy Award Winner® Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker) and Zev Foreman (Dallas Buyers Club).
Good Kill tells the story of a fighter pilot turned drone pilot based in Las Vegas, who fights the Taliban by remote control for 12 hours a day, then returns to the suburbs to his wife and kids for the other 12. It’s the story of one soldier’s tale with epic implications.
Andrew Niccol’s feature film directing debut, Gattaca starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, was nominated for an Academy Award®. The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey, and written/produced by Niccol, received three Academy Award® nominations, including Best Screenplay; Niccol also received the BAFTA award for Best Screenplay. Niccol directed the satire Simone, starring Al Pacino, and wrote the original story for and was executive producer for Steven Spielberg’s The Terminal, starring Tom Hanks. He wrote, produced and directed Lord of War starring Nicolas Cage and Jared Leto; as well as produced and directed In Time, starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. He recently adapted the best-selling novel by Stephenie Meyer, The Host.
