It’s never easy attending an event knowing that there will be no familiar faces to greet you. However, I’ve come to realize that to thrive, one much strive alone at times. That’s exactly what I did at the Body Shop’s Body Butter Duo product launch on May 12, 2011, in Toronto Ontario.
This first-of-its-kind product range is the next generation of The Body Shop’s iconic Body Butter, and each Body Butter Duo contains two levels of moisturization which address both normal and dry skin needs in one smart package.
There are four fragrances to choose from: Floral Açai, Vanilla, Macadamia and Sweet Pea
My personal choice? Floral Açai
Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Canada’s Olympic Gold Medal duo in ice dancing, participated in the global launch of this product. The duo shared their trials and tribulations on their journey to Olympic Gold success. They explained that their dynamic duo works because they ultimately love and respect one another, but it is their differences that completes their strong connection.
The event itself was very well organized by PR Firm Strategic Objectives. There were several representatives from both companies. I was given a run down of the product upon arrival and was offered the opportunity to try all of the fragrances. Being a user of everything Body Shop for many years, I am sold on this new intiative. Great idea!
Although, I felt like a fish out of water at this event (it being my first beauty event), but I cannot wait for the next one and the next one…..BRING IT ON!
