Counting the Days to the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival

It’s our mother and daughter summer vacation.  I absolutely love being part of Toronto’s excitement of glitz, glamour, celebrities, paparazzi, and random events.  We’ve been doing this for three years now and I consider ourselves well versed in what TIFF has to offer.  Sure, we attend some of the screenings but most of the time, you can find us attending events or strolling down Bloor Street.  Last year, I volunteered, which was an experience that really didn’t fulfill me.

Along the way, we met many wonderful celebrities and had some inspiring conversations.

My dream is to write about the Toronto Film Festival for an event sponsor or affiliate. Simply put, this mother and daughter can offer a lot because we’re fun, witty, and social. We’re not your typical A listers with big boobs and blond hair, but we can make anyone feel welcome, we know how to party, and WE KNOW FILM (the most important part of it all). Realistically, I would love to attend parties, but with my 16-year-old daughter in tow, this makes it hard. After all, I am a mother before TIFF’er.

On a side note, it’s the Toronto Film Festival that took my blogging experience to a new level! It excites me, but it grounds me every year!
