Hollywood screenwriter Joe Eszterhas is accusing his recent collaborator, Mel Gibson, on a movie about Jewish revolt, of “hating Jews” and using him to deflect his anti-Semitic reputation.
In an explosive 9-page letter, Eszterhas rantings include Gibson hating Jews to Gibson wanting to kill his estranged girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. Eszterhas claims “You were raving at Oksana even after you’d reached a custody agreement over Luci.”
“And then you were even more explicit about your threat: “I’m going to kill her! I’m going to have her killed!” You said you’d become friends with two FBI agents (or former FBI agents) and they were going to help you to kill her.”
Pretty strong words to put in writing I’d say and team Grigorieva isn’t taking this accusation lying down. According to TMZ.com, Grigorieva is hush-hush about the allegations. However, Grigorieva’s rep Steve Jaffe says, “Mr. Eszterhas’ charges are extremely serious and should be investigated by the authorities immediately.”
While this may be a case of sour grapes, over a script, I have a feeling that Eszterhas’ claims may be valid as Mel did admit to losing his cool during discussions.
Quite honestly, I think Mel should stick to what teacher’s warned us about since the beginning of time. “Unless you want to stir up controversy, never discuss Sex, Politics, or Religion.” Mel, Life’s a Blog recommends that you stick to light-hearted comedies….it may not be what you do best, but it keeps you out of hot water.
