As the blogesphere grows, more and more bloggers are posting their own Holiday Gift Guide on their website to harness their readers with a lot of great gift ideas. But who is the genius that made Holiday Gift Giving Guides a trademark all her own? Yes, Oprah Winfrey has been sharing her “Favorite Things” for years on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
This year will be her first year without an audience but there will be a 2-hour episode tomorrow night where Oprah will share her 2012 Favorite Things list to her OWN TV viewers. I have bought the copy of O! Magazine and will be watching tomorrow night for a chance to win one of her coveted selections from her gift guide.
What is it though that makes us excited to hear what Oprah has to say about products? Well for myself, her ability to touch my heart and reach into my soul has provided me the ability to trust her good judgement on any brand that she endorses.
Trust. In today’s world, trust is a hard thing to come by with the amount of blogs and influencers readily available to promote brands.
As my blog evolves, I hope that one day I can replicate the level of trust that Oprah has with the majority of the population. It takes a lot of hard work to gain trust and confidence in a person’s endorsement. Her knowledge, excitement, and generosity that she brings to the table when promoting her Favorite Things is infectious.
