SAG Awards the Cast of Argo, Jennifer Lawrence, and Daniel Day-Lewis

2013 SAG Award WinnersThe SAG Awards (Screen Actor’s Guild) historically sets the stage for Oscars.   This year, I anticipate it will be no different.  With Argo, Jennifer Lawrence, and Daniel Day-Lewis taking home both the SAG Award and People’s Choice Awards in their respective categories, they are sure-fire contenders for an Oscar in their respective categories.

The SAG Awards represents the business side of acting.  Ben Affleck reflected on the award’s significance during the cast’s acceptance speech for Best film, ‘Argo’.

“I am really amazed and stunned, there are so many great actors here and this is voted on by our brothers who are actors.” Affleck smiles. “There’s a hundred and some thousand people in SAG-AFTRA. Some of them never get, you know, to come to a place like this. And they vote from home, you know.”
