Hedley & Big Wreck Headline WTFest Music Festival Featuring The Trews, LIGHTS, USS and I Mother Earth On June 13th and 14th in Brantford

Anyone who knows Life’s a Blog KNOWS that my favourite Canadian band is Hedley.  I love their music and especially their performances.  I am proud to be attending the WTFest this year to see Hedley and the amazing lineup of talent, scheduled to play, over the two day event.

Coordinators, JSE Events and Calbeck Investments Inc., announced that the festival will feature an eclectic bill of talent from a variety of different music styles. The Saturday June 13th line-up will be headlined by Big Wreck and feature The Trews, I Mother Earth, Peeler, The Mohrs, Sons of Revelry, Gloryhound and Ghost Town Orchestra. The Sunday June 14th show will be headlined by Canadian superstars Hedley, along with Lights, USS, Dear Rouge, The Ascot Royals, Harbour, Steven Ryan and Mark Wilson. Weekend passes which include access to both shows will be $59.99 and will be the first to go on sale. Individual day passes are $39.99 for Saturday and $49.99 for Sunday and will be on sale in early February. Tickets can be purchased online through www.TicketScene.ca or in-person at the Sanderson Centre box office (88 Dalhousie Street / 519.758.8090).

WTFest is also launching a battle of the bands and will award the winner an opening slot on the festival. The winner will also receive a grand prize package which consists of $1,000 cash, a meeting with industry professionals at one of Canada’s top booking agencies, a professional photo-shoot by Photohouse Studio as well as a EPK designed by Fat Panda Studios. About Big Wreck

For a band that planted their roots nearly 20 years ago, Big Wreck has arrived at that place where all the pieces fit. The group’s new album “Ghosts” debuted at #5 on the Top 200 SoundScan chart in Canada, and their single for the track “Albatross,” also made Big Wreck the first Canadian band to hit #1 on the Canadian rock radio chart in over a year, a position they maintained for six weeks.
