Feeling suffocated making the decision.
Anger’s fire brings one to tears.
The battle between the mind and heart is deafening.
Yearning to have happiness over fear.

The addiction was you for decades. 
Always striving to be the light.
The mind is shattered and heart weeps.
Rejection most painful in the darkest of night.  

Today, a new beginning awaits a broken soul.
My well being wasn’t your choice.
Success trumps family with many a man.
