Comedian Howie Mandel was the Guest of Honour at yesterday’s Opening Ceremonies of the 2022 Canadian National Exhibition on August 19, helping to kick off a historical occasion and re-opening of Canada’s largest fair after a two-year hiatus.
Mandel was also the headliner for the CNE’s first-ever Comedy Night on the Bandshell, joined by fellow comedians Ali Hassan, Nour Hadidi, Nile Seguin, and Canada’s Got Talent finalist Courtney Gilmour.
Before taking the stage, the Toronto comic decided to re-visit his childhood memories of working at the CNE, which he fondly recalls in this 2020 video message to the CNE. Much to the delight of CNE fans, Howie Mandel took over the microphone at the iconic ride as the ‘hype man’ – and one lucky family got to take a joy ride with the famous comedian.
