Karim Kanji welcomed Darryl to the live streaming episode of the XConnect Show.

If you thought pasting lyrics of your favorite tunes into your blog was perfectly legal, well think again.  LyricFind, the world’s leader in legal lyric solutions, is taking the music industry by storm.    Based in Toronto, Canada, LyricFind is led by founders Darryl Ballantyne and Mohamed Moutadayne.

Lyricfind has obtained lyric liciensing from over 2,000 music publishers, including EMI Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner/Chappell Music Publishing and Sony/ATV Music Publishing.  Lyricfind, with their quality-controlled vetted database, makes these lyrics available for licensing and pays royalties to those publishers.

There is so much more to learn about lyrical licensing and I would highly recommend visiting their website.

Episode 2 of the XConnect Show was much better than the first as it included video stream (which always makes the online experience more engaging).

The host, Karim Kanji, was well spoken and was prepared to ask the right questions.  Many times I’ll be asking questions in my head during an interview which are left unanswered.  Karim, you and I are on the same wavelength because you asked them all.

After reviewing the past two episodes, if the XConnect Show continues mixing fashion, music, and entertainment in a documentary like format, I will continue to be engaged..  If you enjoy learning about growing and thriving up and comers, this show is definitely for you!
