Boots and Hearts Music Festival is a 4-day festival that features some of the best in country music. Located in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Boots and Hearts caters to the younger country music fans, but that doesn’t mean that two single ladies and a married one didn’t have a hell of a good time.

Thursday Shenanigans at Boots

The Thursday night is the kick-off party. It’s a little quieter than the following evenings, but just as fun. The evening’s festivities began with the Emerging Artists Showcase and moving onto the finals were David Boyd Janes and Justin Tyler.

Kris Barclay, The Cadillac Three and headliner Chase Rice made the night evenful and got the party started.

Thanks to Hamilton Rock and Country Magazine for the Photo of Chase Rice

There is never any shortage of things to do at Boots. Some options includes pre-drinking at the tent with some beer pong or drink a nice cold Coors Banquet and join sponsors like Spinach for a game of Jenga at the venue. We had so much fun with our friends Pam, Dwight and Spencer.

Friday Fun at Boots

As I was sitting with my friends that morning, I looked at them and said “You know, for the very first time I can say I’m happy.” I know they were overjoyed that I was happy because I’ve been miserable for months over my marital separation.

The talent list at Boots and Hearts is so jam-packed that every year they host two stages; the main stage and the Front Porch. My favourite performance on Friday was The Abrams who ended their performance with The Devil Went Down to Georgia. It was absolutely amazing to watch John and James Abrams rule the front porch stage.

The day overall was amazing because we celebrated Country Music with friends, good food, and lots of cheer! Sirius XM hosted a live broadcast in the SiriusXM house located in VIP. We were honoured to be present for the interview with ‘I Can Buy My Own Drink’, Runaway June.

Maren Morris

The uber famous Maren Morris hit the main stage and performed songs ‘My Church’, ‘GIRL’ and also gave us a treat by singing ‘All My Favourite People’ with husband, Ryan Hurd. I was a little taken back as I was expecting her to be a little more country.

She was on her game though and didn’t displease the crowd with her act.

Cole Swindell

Ah, one of my favourite headlined Boots and Hearts on Friday Night. Yes, singing hits like ‘Break Up in the End’ and ‘Hope You Get Lonely in the End’, Cole Swindell led the crowd for 75 minutes with so many amazing songs.

Sinful Saturday at Boots

I think this is the day that all of my friends REALLY let loose and had some fun. With an amazing artist lineup, we spent little time at the campsite and more time on the grounds. I think my friends were a little shocked at my extreme excitement to see Nashville group, Lanco, perform. I was in my glory on Saturday and I believe my friends were breathing a sigh of relief.

‘Alcohol You Later’ Mitchell Tenpenny hit the Front Porch stage and what a crowd showed up for his performance.

We scooted to the main stage to catch Canadian Eric Ethridge on the main stage. Wow, what a looker!

Thanks Hamilton Rock and Country Magazine for this amazing shot of Eric Ethridge.

Then came Lanco!! Man, what an amazing performance. This group has so much energy and style. I loved when lead singer, Brandon, body surfed the crowd, on an inflatable duck, at the end of ‘Troublemaker’.

Who doesn’t love Kip Moore and Miranda Lambert? These two closed off Saturday night with a bang. Moore, in his usual sexy form, performed party songs like ‘Beer Money’ and ‘Something Bout a Truck’.

Unfortunately, Miranda Lambert did not allow photos for her performance, but I absolutely was thrilled to see her again. Playing her very emotional song for me ‘The House That Built Me’ and my new favourite ‘It’ll all Come out in the Wash’, Lambert was clear-eyed and ready to party with the crowd.

After the grounds closed, my friends and I partied it up at our campsite until the wee hours of the morning. This made for a very slow Sunday at Boots and Hearts.

Sunday Funday at Boots

Well after a well earned hangover, Sunday had an amazing lineup and a stellar performance and standing ovation for Morgan Wallen at the Front Porch Stage. He was by far my favourite performer of the day. Again, I was so excited to him perform.

Kane Brown

Kane Brown brought in the biggest crowd by far. I went into the photo pit a lot on Sunday and I honoured to capture this amazing photo of him. He looked straight at me!! YAHOO.

I was really pleased to see him as his performance is nothing like you’d ever see from a country singer. I would really pay to see him again. I say that very RARELY!!

Jason Aldean hit the stage to end the night. We stayed for the three songs and we took off in typical Sunday night fashion. Life’s a Blog writer, Tracy Ellis was disappointed in our decision to leave, but Sharon jumped up so fast to go that she had no choice. Boy I love those girls. What a great weekend we had!! Thanks again Boots and Hearts for another amazing festival!! We hope to be back next year and keep our fingers crossed for Luke Combs.
