I had the pleasure of speaking with Ben Carrozza, Senior Entertainment Editor at MSN.ca to discuss Last Minute Entertainment Gift Ideas for the Movie and Film Buff in your life.
– Gifts Under 25 dollars that Don’t Suck , Ben recommends the Minimalist Comic-Book Print for the Super Hero lover in your life. Those who appreciate the life of a super hero is sure to appreciate this odd but rather stylish poster.
– According to Ben, a good but somewhat crazy suggestion for the TV Series lover is the Law & Order full DVD Collection. My thoughts? If you want someone out of your hair over the holidays, get them snuggly in front of the television for this 104 disc extravaganza. Take it from me, any show can become addicting after a few episodes.
– For the music lover Ben suggests The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams. Rolling Stone Magazine’s review of the compilation CD? “Using Hank Williams’ lyrics notebooks to imagine songs he never finished, The Lost Notebooks turns a vaguely necrophiliac idea into a startling reincarnation.” A very tempting last-minute purchase for someone on my list.
– Another suggestion for the person who loves television of yesteryear is the Doctor Who: The David Tennant Years. This 26 disc collection is a must for anyone who still speaks favourably about TVO.
I asked Ben Carrozza what he was asking Santa for? Like most men, Ben’s list includes the Blu-Ray Extended Version of The Lord of the Rings. (Pst. it’s under my tree now!!)
Ben also suggested that the best idea when comparison shopping is to visit Bing Shopping where you can price compare, view price history, know cross border pricing and maps and locations of stores carrying what you are looking for!
Thanks Ben for the tips! I’ll be doing more Bing Shopping in the future.
