This is book two of the Inn Boonsboro Trilogy It continues the story of the three Montgomery brothers, this time focusing on Owen. His brothers Beckett and Ryder continue the restoration of the old Inn while Owen is the ultimate organizer with his strict budgets, lists and his mission to get open in time . He gets a bit side track by an old girlfriend Avery MacTavish. She runs the local pizza shop right across the street and is full of pep and still has feeling for Owen since she was five years old. They rekindle the relationship and discover feelings for each other that hasn’t faded over the years. He was Avery’s first boyfriend and after all these years is hoping to be the last boyfriend.
I didn’t find this book hold my interest as much as the first novel..The Next Always. It was a little flat in places where you can almost guess what is going to happen next. I must say though that the part that got me was the resident ghost in the Inn. She is looking for a last boyfriend and sometimes will leave interesting bits of information which keeps you wondering who she really is.
Hopefully the Book three The Perfect Hope brings a successful romantic love story to a brilliant closing. Don’t we all love a happy ending.!
