If you have ever taken a trip to Toronto, you are well aware that there are a variety of hotels available. Why not splurge a little make your summer vacation with your family a memorable one?
We were a guest at the Fairmont Royal York this weekend when we attended the Much Music Video Awards and took in a little shopping as well. As a previous guest, I always feel like I’m treated like royalty as all of my needs are met. The prices are competitive while maintaining their high-end level of service and hospitality.
The Royal Treatment
We stayed in one of Royal York’s signature rooms located on the 13th floor. It consisted of 2 double beds, two washrooms, and a sitting area with pull-out couch. Thanks to Melanie, our arrival was welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese platter. It was divine!
A one-night stay does not allot much time for taking in the many services offered at the Royal York as they offer a wide array of dining selections for every taste. Being that we were very disjointed on Saturday, our family decided have breakfast at EPIC early Sunday morning before we parted ways to explore the city.
Would I stay there again? Absolutely! In fact, I can’t wait for the Toronto Film Festival as the Royal York is located within proximity to the Roy Thompson Hall which is TIFF Central.
The beds were comfortable, the duvet to die for, the service was excellent, and having two washrooms with two teenagers girls was a blessing. Late Saturday night, we decided to have a late check-out due to the fact that I was attending the One Night in Toronto Event with Perez Hilton. The concierge was most gracious in providing this to us. The bellhops were helpful when they informed us that we could leave our baggage at baggage service while we made the trek to retrieve our car.
I have to say that the only bad thing about our stay was the parking. $45.00 at the Royal Bank Center and we pretty much had to leave a bread crumb trail to find our way back to it. Next time, valet service all the way!
