Bob-Dylan-50th-AnniversaryHappy 50th Anniversary Bob Dylan. It’s funny how a song or a voice has the ability to take one back to their youth.  Bob Dylan’s music does this for me.

In honour of Bob Dylan’s 50th anniversary as a recording artist, Sony Music Canada asked his fans to pay tribute to him by recreating the concept behind his iconic clip for “Subterranean Homesick Blues.”

The result was a lyric video for “Duquesne Whistle,” created by Dylan’s Canadian Fans. The video premiered today on Metrolyrics. Click HERE to watch the video or see below.

Forty-five years ago, the world’s first ever lyric video appeared in the documentary film about Dylan titled Don’t Look Back. “Subterranean Homesick Blues” unknowingly became the blueprint for the modern day lyric video. “Duquesne Whistle” can be found on Dylan’s new album, Tempest, which has received stellar reviews from fans and critics alike.

Dylan is currently on tour promoting Tempest. Earlier this month he played a handful of Canadian dates and returns on November 14th to play the ACC in Toronto and stops in Montreal on November 16th to play the Bell Centre.
